Common Questions
How much does a Photo Voltaic (P.V.) system cost?
Every home and family is unique. The efficiency of your home and your lifestyle will determine how much energy you use, and therefore how many panels you would need to reduce or eliminate your energy dependency. Most systems we install fall between the $20-60K price range.
Do I have to buy an entire system all at once?
Not at all. Many homeowners simply wanting to reduce their carbon footprint and their monthly electric use (and monthly bill), like to start with our simple Solar System Starter Program – A simple 2K (kilowatt) system, and grow from there as their needs increase. We can design your starter package with expansion capabilities for long term growth as your needs grow.
How many Kilowatts should my system be?
Like before, energy use by different homes and families vary. Our trained design consultants can look at your latest monthly energy bill and calculate the amount of energy you use, and therefore, the size system you would need to reduce or eliminate your monthly energy use.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. Even in today’s tighter credit market we have several credit options to fit different needs and credit ratings. Many homeowners enjoy our bridge loans where they have a full year with no interest or payments due.
What’s this about a 30% tax credit?
Just a few months ago, congress passed several new measures to promote alternative energy use. This change removed the $2000 cap that was placed on residential solar installations. Now, no matter the size of your system, you can receive a 30% tax credit! For example, if you purchased a system for $30,000, you would receive a tax credit of $9,000. That reduces your real cost to only $21,000!

What is NET Metering?
NET Metering is like an energy savings account. If your P.V. system should generate more energy than you use (like when you’re away on vacation) you accrue a credit which you can later use. Isn’t it nice to know that your P.V. system can be saving you money even when you’re not there?
